Mart Blom
Performance Coach

Mart Blom

Mart Blom is a performance coach specialising in stage presence, performance anxiety, and artistic authenticity. She began her career as a classical singer, completing her studies at the Conservatory of Amsterdam and working professionally until 2004, when a vocal cord operation brought her singing career to an end and led her to explore human interaction, embodiment, and personal development.

She later trained in haptotherapy, a body-mind oriented therapeutic approach, graduating from the Instituut voor Toegepaste Haptonomie in 2010. Combining her musical background with therapeutic training, Mart developed a distinctive performance coaching method addressing the physical, mental, and emotional aspects of performing.

Mart has worked as a haptotherapist and teacher of stage awareness at the ArtEZ Conservatoire, and collaborates with musicians from leading Dutch orchestras, including the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra and Rotterdams Philharmonisch Orkest, as well as with conservatoire students. She regularly leads workshops and works as a performance coach with international institutions, including the Hochschule für Musik Hannover.

Through her work, Mart Blom supports musicians in developing confidence, presence, and expressive freedom on stage.
